19th NCCAN Day Three Closing Plenary

The 19th National Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect (NCCAN) was held from April 30 to May 2, 2014, in New Orleans, LA. Each day featured a plenary session on a specific topic. The day three closing plenary included a presentation by Joy P. Osofsky, Ph.D., and D.J. Markey titled "Lessons for Connectors on Overcoming Trauma and Building Resilience." Desmond Runyan, M.D., Dr.P.H., presented the Kempe Scientific Impact Award to David Finkelhor, Ph.D. David P. Kelly, Child Welfare Program Specialist for Court Improvement, Children’s Bureau, and Melissa Lim Brodowski, Ph.D., M.S.W., M.P.H., also spoke.
