Easements - Acquisition

Restrictive conservation & historic easements acquired by government and private organizations with the property owner's consent. Easements deter development and are perpetual unless the current propety owner and easement holder agree to terminate the easement. Virginia code applies to each program which requires land assessments to be assessed as if in agricultural land use using the open space criteria.
