About this dataset

Historical Context

The second volume of three Evergreen Interment Ledgers, this ledger covers burials from 1926 to 1962. The conservation and digitization of the Evergreen Interment Ledger, 1926-1962 (Volume Two) was generously supported by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Later burials may be found in Volume Three, Evergreen Interment Ledger, 1963-1969 or in the Evergreen Interment Cards. A portion of this ledger overlaps with the interment cards.

Evergreen Cemetery is a historic African-American cemetery located in the East End neighborhood of Richmond, Virginia.
