Loudoun Major Power Lines

<p><a target='_blank' href='https://logis.loudoun.gov/loudoun/metadata/majpower.htm' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>More Metadata</a></p><p>Major Power Lines are used to show the spatial location of major high tension overhead power lines in Loudoun County, VA. This feature class/shapefile is for the Homeland Infrastructure Foundation Level Database (HIFLD) https://gii.dhs.gov/HIFLD as well as the Energy modelling and simulation community and contains Electric Power Transmission lines in the U.S. greater than or equal to 100 volts. It has been modified to include new line additions built after the dataset was published. Dataset was modified in February 2025 to include transmission line segments that have been approved by Virginia’s State Corporation Commission (SCC) but not built.</p><p><br />Update Frequency: Not expected to be updated unless a new power line is built or approved. <strong>Date of last update: February 2025</strong></p>
