Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Participation

The Virginia Department of Social Services publishes routine monthly state-wide datasets for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). This dataset highlights Norfolk’s month-by-month data such as number of households and persons receiving assistance and the amount of benefits distributed.

Public Assistance households are those where all members receive or are eligible for TANF, TANF Diversionary Assistance, General Relief, or SSI; or any member is eligible for VIEW Transitional Payments.
