About this dataset
The Economic Research Service (ERS) Food Price Outlook (FPO) Consumer Price Index data, based on Bureau of Labor Statistics CPI figures. ERS forecasts annual percent change in retail food prices up to 18 months ahead, released monthly. Includes the current forecast, the historical record of monthly forecasts made since 2002 (using the revised 2023 methodology), and actual historical CPI percent change back to 1974.
